The frame makes the most of the memory photos that I love the most. My relatives have other frames that have different functions but for presentation quality I prefer the Aura Carver. I especially like the way the frame adapts to ambient light with its inbuilt sensor.
Have purchased 4 Carver & 1 Sawyer and feel they are a really good unit, well built & clear screens and have recommended them to friends. Having the free web storage is good. I am a one drive user which is not supported for direct connect.and would be easier to auto ingest. Key issue I have is that the software options are a bit lacking. It would be good to have more control over the viewing order like photo name, date taken, frequency of random shuffle (see more variance or less) etc. Plus allow albums to be created / managed via the web interface or app (I am a NAS / Web uploader, don’t use the phone for photo transfer). The albums could then be turned on or off to limit or increase what is displayed (like on a special occasion, e.g. daughters 18th) On upload it would be nice to better auto fit the photos in their entirety. “Pinching” does not always fit the full photo and is frustrating to do manually over thousands of photos (I run the Carver in landscape and the Sawyer in Portrait). Have had issues transferring photos between frames, need to upload from my NAS via Web Interface. While that is easy enough, aligns to the frustrations of "pinching" photos again to resize. Also seem to only be able to transfer full batches (from the original upload, for me in the 100's, not individual photos.
The Aura Carver arrived as expected and I was able to set it up as a gift with photos and a birthday message without taking it out of the box. Invited family members to join and upload photos so when it reached its gift destination it worked without a hitch. Would highly recommend.
